Chapter Sixteen

We pull into the parking lot and Cassie gets out of the car as I ride up behind her. For a few seconds I wait, watching as she shuts the door and turns to face me. I can’t read her expression, the whole way here I was expecting her to change her mind, to tell me to fuck off, or that this is a mistake.

Cassie does neither. Even though she can’t see my face through the visor, she arches a challenging brow. No need to fucking ask if I still want this. She moves out of the way as I turn off the bike. Her eyes never leave me as I swing my leg over and stand at my full height.

“Lead the way,” I take a step back.
